How to keep shoes last longer

We all spend a good amount of money in buying shoes. Some of us even love to have a collection of different types of shoes. We tend to spend a handsome amount after shoes. But have always overlooked the maintenance of the same. So we have to end up standing some more in repairing too. So why to wait for that long and not get our money’s worth.

It is very intricate to maintain our shoes. But with some basic and easy tips, we can easily manage and protect our shoes from getting useless without spending much time, money and energy on the same. We don’t have to go to professionals for help. With little bit of attention, we can keep our shoes last longer.

Here are the basic tips:

For making shoes last longer you should always start it from the very first step i.e. buying shoes.

Always have a habit of buying shoes that are comfortable and fits well.

Go for the quality shoes and don’t judge the quality by the price tag. Buy a good quality shoes that are affordable.

Don’t wear shoes continuously for 2-3 days. If you have to wear it on daily basis then keep it in such a place at the end of the day so that the air can have a good circulation.

Whenever you are driving a car then select shoes with which you can comfortably drive car and in case of bike or scooter avoid wearing heels or a soft sole shoes.

If it’s a rainy day then select rainy shoes to wear and not the normal shoes or it will tend to get soggy.

Dry the shoes as they get wet in rain. While putting them to dry make sure that the original shape doesn’t change by putting some cotton, paper, shoetrees or shoe forms in the shoes.

When the shoes starts loosing its brightness, try toothpaste and apply it to the shoes and then wash them with warm water. It will surely have the brightness back.

When your shoes are real dirty like muddy or something then try using forceful water pipe to clean them. It will be cleaned easily and in a quick time.

Keep shoes dirt free, clean and polished on a regular basis. Use a good water proof material like lotion or spray for avoiding harm from water.

If your shoes stink then try using baking soda and let it be there the whole night and the next day just tap it out before wearing them again.

While wearing heels if you are not comfortable with high heels then replace them with the normal one so that you can walk comfortably with them.

You should start taking care for you shoes from the day when you have purchased it. So that it will have a good and long life.

With all these tips you can always care for your shoes and they will last longer. You can save money to by not spending in repairing and you can buy new shoes with this saving.
